Type section (composite): along west fork of Echooka River, beginning at contact with Sadlerochit Formation about 3.5 mi south of Wahoo Lake [Lat. 69 deg. 01 min. N., Long. 146 deg. 57 min. W.], extending 0.5 mi along west bluff, Brooks Range, AK. Lower 68 ft in east bluff, Brooks Range, AK (Brosge and others, 1962).
