Type section (composite): south face of Mount Wachsmuth [ Lat. 68 deg. 19 min. 20 sec. N., Long. 150 deg. 54 min. 30 sec. W.], along west slope of Mount Wachsmuth, and up south face of Sugarloaf Hill [Lat. 68 deg. 19 min. 20 sec. N., Long. 150 deg. 53 min. 15 sec. W.] central Brooks Range, northern AK (Bowsher and Dutro, 1957).
