Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 158 ft to 191 ft, Savannah River site well MWD-5A, near Aiken Co. line, southeast of Tinker Creek and west of Mill Creek, [UTM] 69,235 N.; 75,491 E., or approx. Lat. 33 deg 18 min. 07 sec. N., Long. 81 deg. 36 min. 10 sec. W., northwestern Barnwell Co., SC (Fallaw and Price, 1992; Fallaw and Price, 1995).
