Thorp Point Member of [Fort] Cassin Formation (VT)

Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section: along western shore of Thorp Point, western VT. Section begins 20 yards west of bostonite dike at northwest corner of Thorp Point, extends south along shore to south side of first cove and then southeastward upslope to position 20 yards west of barn (Welby, 1961).


AAPG geologic province:

New England province
