Type locality: exposures on east side of Route 140 just north of bridge where the highway crosses the Rio Limon, Barrio Tetuan, approx. 1 km east of the west edge of Florida quadrangle, Puerto Rico. Named from Barrio Tetuan (Nelson and Monroe, 1966).
