Type area: Along Suwannee River, from Ellaville, Suwannee Co., almost to White Springs, Hamilton Co., north-central FL (Cooke and Mansfield, 1936).
Principal reference section: Exposures in a low bluff at a sharp bend of the Suwannee River, adjacent to Suwannee River State Park, SW/4 SE/4 sec. 7, T. 1 S., R. 12 E., Suwannee Co., north-central FL (Huddlestun, 1993).
