Not stated. Named from Storff Creek which flows down western slope of Bull Run Mountains in northern part of Bull Run 15-min quadrangle, Elko Co., northeastern NV. Exposed on wide east-west band which crosses northern part of Bull Run Mountains (Decker, 1962).
