Named for railroad siding (now abandoned) from which a spur track led to a quarry on bluff overlooking Atascosa River 2.5 mi north of Whitsett Bluff and 4.4 mi S. 5 deg. W. of Campbellton, Atascosa Co., south-central TX (Ellisor, 1933; Eargle, 1959).
