Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 4,045 to 4,100 ft, type well Pan American No. 1 Windbigler, Section 18, Troy Twp., Morrow Co., OH. Named from Steam Corners, at junction of OH Route 314 and Route 37 (Steam Corners-Lexington Road), Blooming Grove 7.5-min quadrangle, OH (Coogan and Maki, 1988).
