Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposure along Little Walnut Creek about 0.5 mi west of the bridge on the old Austin-Manor highway; here, just south of the intersection of Loyola Lane and Tulsa Drive in the River Bend subdivision in Austin, TX, the Sprinkle is faulted into a small graben (Young, 1965).
