Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section (subsurface): Savannah River site, well P 22TA, depth-interval 300 ft to 360 ft, about 2 mi west of Lower Three Runs, a tributary to the Savannah River, and 2 mi south of Par Pond (UTM 73,555 E.; 20,593 N.), or approx. Lat. 33 deg. 12 min. 14 sec. N., and Long. 81 deg. 31 min. 25 sec. W., southern Barnwell Co., SC. Named from old railroad stop in southeastern part of Savannah River site (Fallaw and Price, 1992).
