Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Serpiente Ridge and vicinity. Pryamid Hills quadrangle, Orchard Peak area which lies principally in northwestern Kern Co., southern CA (Marsh, 1956 [abs.], 1960).


AAPG geologic province:

San Joaquin basin
