Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposures in Run Gap in Tuscarora Mountain, along boundary of Juniata and Perry Cos., central PA. Extends from area of Jacks Mountain, north of Lewistown in Mifflin Co., to area of Shade Mountain at Lost Creek Gap (Swartz, 1957).

Appalachian basin
