Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Outcrops on and near the road between Barrio Barrancas and Barrio Botijas in the drainage of Quebrada La (El) Reves just east of the village of Botijas, Barranquitas quadrangle, Puerto Rico (Briggs and Gelabert, 1962).
