Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type locality: southwestern Parker Co., north-central TX. Named from early settlement now almost abandoned, located 3.5 mi southeast of Dennis and a like distance southeast of Kickapoo Falls (Cheney, 1947).

Fort Worth syncline
