Mapped in Prosser Creek area. Also exposed along Prosser Dam Road, Truckee area, north of Lake Tahoe, northeastern CA. [Named from Prosser Creek, east of Boca Reservoir, Truckee 15-min quadrangle, Nevada Co., northeastern CA] (Birkeland, 1962).
