Palmarejo Formation (PR*)
early Tertiary (Paleocene and Eocene)*
Type locality: valley of the Rio Mavilla, btw. 166,960 E. and 167,220 E. (Puerto Rico Meter Grid System), 750 m south-southeast of Escuela Segunda Unidad de Palmarejo. Named from exposures in Barrio Palmarejo, Corozal quadrangle, northern Puerto Rico (Nelson, 1966).
