(ascending) "Tuscaloosa formation" (GA), Pio Nono Formation (GA), Cape Fear Formation (GA), Gaillard Formation (GA), Middendorf Formation (GA), and Huber Formation (GA)


Geologic age:

Late Cretaceous and early Tertiary (Paleocene); Austinian to Navarroan, and Midwayan


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section: composite of Pio Nono, Gaillard, and Huber formations type sections. Named from Oconee River (Huddlestun and Hetrick, 1991).
Type area: vicinity of Ocmulgee River in the west, into Washington Co., GA, in the east.


AAPG geologic province:

South Georgia sedimentary province
