Type section (subsurface): Humble Oil and Refining Company No. 1 Collier Corp. well, in sec. 27, T. 50 S., R. 62 E., Collier Co., southern FL. Named from Naples Bay, FL, 6 mi northwest of well (Winston, 1971).
