Type section: north of Leavenworth on east flank of Eagle Creek anticline, about 0.5 km east of Van Creek Road and extending for 1.3 km along the Eagle Creek Road, in secs. 13 and 24, T. 25 N., R. 18 E., and in sec. 19, T. 25 N., R. 19 E., Chelan Co., WA. Named from Nahahum Canyon northeast of Cashmere (Gresens and others, 1981).
