Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type locality: along Highway 861, 700 to 2,000 m northwest of its intersection with Highway 827 (Puerto Rico Meter Grid System 173,770 E.; 59,550 N.), near northwest corner of the Naranjito quadrangle. Named from Barrio Mucarabones, Naranjito quadrangle, northern Puerto Rico (Nelson, 1966).
