Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Outcrops along north side of Mill Creek near Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., northeastern PA, near breast of Old Hallenback Dam, and about midway between River Street bridge and a bridge of Lehigh Valley RR that crosses creek at its mouth (Ashburner, 1886).

Appalachian basin
