Type section: exposures on north side of Marple Canyon where Old Ridge Route crosses outcrop at head of canyon, between 1.0 km south and 0.5 km north of the intersection of Old Ridge Route and Templin Highway, about 8.0 km north of Castaic, Los Angeles Co., CA (Link, 1982).
