In center sec. 36, T. 5 N., R. 92 W. Named from town about 5 mi southwest of type locality (Konishi, 1959).
Type section: in cliff on south slope of Iles Mountain, about 0.2 mi from CO Highway 13, Moffat Co., CO (Konishi, 1959).
