Not designated. Named from Libertytown, Frederick Co., MD. Occurs in belt that lies south and southwest of Union Bridge and north of U.S. Highway 40. Eastern part of belt extends into Carroll Co. to vicinity of McKinstry's Mill (Stose and Stose, 1946).
