Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposed a short distance below Lackawaxen village and at other places in Lackawaxen Twp., Pike Co., PA. Resistant conglomerate and sandstone beds form nearly vertical ledges along parts of Lackawaxen River (White, 1882).
