Covers much of Juniper Flat, Truckee area, north of Lake Tahoe, northeastern CA. [Named from Juniper Flat, mostly in secs. 28 and 33, T. 18 N., R. 17 E., Truckee 15-min quadrangle, Nevada Co., northeastern CA] (Birkeland, 1962).
