Taylor clay pit on west side of secondary road 123, across from the western boundary of Kings Mountain National Military Park, Lat. 35 deg. 07 min. 59 sec. N., Long. 81 deg. 25 min. 17 sec. W., Cherokee Co., SC. Named from Jumping Branch, a tributary of Kings Creek, 4.1 km southwest of the type locality (Horton, 1984).
