Horned Toad Hills, about 4 mi northwest of Mojave, Mojave 15-min quadrangle (in E/2 sec. 33, T. 32 S., R. 33 E., M.D. and NE/4 sec. 35 and NW/4 sec. 36, T. 12 N., R. 13 W., S.B.) Kern Co., CA (Dibblee, 1958).
Type section: from base of Horned Toad Formation, about 7,000 ft S. 70 deg. W. of Warren railway camp, south-southeast 1 mi to top of unit, Horned Toad Hills, 4 mi northwest of Mojave, Mojave 15-min quadrangle, Kern Co., CA (Dibblee, 1967).
