Type section: Horn Mountain, from the shore of Chinitna Bay to the peak of Horn Mountain and north along the ridge to the contact with Portage Creek Agglomerate Member, Iniskin-Tuxedni region, southwestern AK. Named from Horn Mountain, south shore of Tuxedni Bay (Detterman and Hartsock, 1966).
