Folsom Vent Basalt (NM)
Cenozoic, late
Folsom Vents, two cinder cones and associated basalt, cover less than 0.5 sq mi near mouth of Hereford Park, 1 mi west of Union Co. line on NM Highway 72, northeastern NM (Baldwin and Muehlberger, 1959). [See US geologic names lexicon, USGS Bull. 1200]
