Not designated. Measured section of sandstone facies in upper part of roadcut on Interstate 24, in NW/4 NW/4 sec. 8, T. 12 S., R. 3 E., Goreville quadrangle, Johnson Co., IL. Name derived from Ferne Clyffe State Park south of Goreville (Jacobson, 1992).
