Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section (composite): east face of Garren Mountain for basal breccia; north face of Buck Mountain for plagioclase trachyte member; southeast bank near mouth of Fairbury Draw for anorthoclase trachyte member; east face of Blanquito Hill and west slope of hill east-northeast of Bell's ashpit for tuff member, Culberson Co., TX (Hay-Roe, 1957).
