Paleontologic name for Lower Cretaceous beds in TX that were later named Del Rio Clay (US geologic names lexicon, USGS Bull. 896).
Notable exposures on Shoal Creek and toward base of Mt. Bonnell, near Austin, Travis Co., central eastern TX (Shumard, 1860).
