Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposed in quarries near Cutalossa Inn, 1.0 mi (1.6 km) southeast of Lumberville, Bucks Co., PA (McLaughlin, 1945).
Type area: along Delaware River, from Stockton northward to 3 mi west of Milford, Hunterdon Co., west-central NJ (Johnson and McLaughlin, 1957).

Piedmont-Blue Ridge province
