Crystal River valley, about 6 mi (9.6 km) north of Redstone, a few hundred ft (m) west of CO Highway 133, on southeast-facing slopes of ridge south of Perham Creek and opposite Avalanche Creek Road, in sec. 20, T. 9 S., R. 88 W., Pitkin Co., CO. Named from Crystal River (Bartleson, 1972).
