Along Bethel Church Road, 0.5 mi south of its junction with U.S. Highway 321, on the west flank of Crossing Knob, Lat. 36 deg. 18 min. N., Long. 81 deg. 52 min. 30 sec. W., Sherwood quadrangle, Watauga Co., NC (Barholomew and Lewis, 1984).
