Type section: Abandoned quarry of Scott Quarry Company, excavated in north side of outlier of formation, in SW/4 sec. 29, T. 44 N., R. 4 W., about 1 mi southeast of Cordell, Chippewa Co., northeastern MI (Newcombe, 1933).
