Type section: on a hillside on the east bank of Clifton Creek, 1.8 km northeast of Snow Flake, Looneys Gap quadrangle, Hawkins Co., TN (Brent, 1982).
Reference section: 1 km northeast of intersection of Laurel Branch Road and TN Highway 94, Camelot quadrangle, Hawkins Co., northeastern TN (Brent, 1982).
