Type section: exposures along Rogers Creek, from 8,500 to 10,700 ft (2,600 to 3,260 m) south of its junction with Sheep Creek, northeastern Healy D-2 quadrangle (scale 1:63,360), central AK. Named from Chute Creek to the west of Rogers Creek (Wahrhaftig, 1968).
