Cache Formation of /Wichita Granite Group (OK-recognized locally in eastern Wichita igneous province, Wichita Mountains area)

Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type area: in secs. 6 through 9, T. 2 N., R. 14 W., and especially along the north-south Quanah-Cache contact, across hill in SE/4 SE/4 sec. 12, T. 2 N., R. 14 W., within Wichita Mountains, southwestern OK. Origin of name not stated by authors, but probably named from town of Cache, Comanche Co., OK (Myers and others, 1981, who credit Green, 1952, unpub. thesis).
