Type section: in Hindu Canyon, in secs. 20 through 25, T. 27 N., R. 12 W., Gila River and Salt River Principal Meridian, Mohave Co., northwestern AZ. Origin of name not stated, but probably named from "Buck and Doe Road" on the Hualapai Plateau, Grand Canyon area, Mohave Co., AZ (Gray, 1964).
