Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section: extends from a small wash 700 ft east of the Green River, near center sec. 17, T. 7 S., R. 21 E., north (over the hills and through the woods to grandmother's house we go) to across Brennan Basin along Green River up Twelvemile Wash to Halfway Hollow, and up Halfway Hollow to center sec. 13, T. 5 S., R. 19 E., Uintah Co., UT (Andersen and Picard, 1972).
