Type section: from west of Berg Creek to 1.8 km south of Kuskulana Pass; exposures from SE/4 SW/4 sec. 34, T. 3 S., R. 9 E. southward to south part of SE/4 NW/4 sec. 3, T. 4 S., R. 9 E., McCarthy C-8 quadrangle (scale 1:63,360), Wrangell Mountains, AK (MacKevett and others, 1978).
