Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 2,417 to 2,464 ft, Clubhouse Crossroads No. 1 drillcore, near Clubhouse Crossroads, Dorchester Co., southeastern SC. Named from Beech Hill Cemetery and Beech Hill Road, about 6 mi north of drill site (Gohn, 1992).
