Type locality: Quebrada Maracuto (Puerto Rico Meter Grid System 204,500 E.; 55,390 N.), 1 km west-southwest of Cerro Gordo, Gurabo quadrangle, northeastern Puerto Rico. Named from Barrio Barrazas (Seiders, 1971).
