Named from town of Aspers, [about 1.5 mi east of Bendersville], Biglerville 7.5-min quadrangle, Adams Co., southern central PA (Cornet, 1977).
Notable exposures in roadcut 0.5 mi south of Bendersville, Biglerville 7.5-min quadrangle, Adams Co., southern central PA (Cornet, 1977; see also Stose and Bascom, USGS Geol. Atlas of the US, Fairfield-Gettysburg folio, no. 225, p. 11, fig. 9, 1929).
