Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Underlies Dukes boulder bed at Gay Head Cliffs fold on Marthas Vineyard, southeast MA, the only place it is known to occur. Aquinnah is Indian name for Gay Head (Woodworth and Wigglesworth, 1934).
