Type locality: exposures along Highway 645, at the southernmost bend of the road east of Rio Indio, Barrio Almirante Sur, 450 m south of Manati quadrangle, 1550 m west of Corozal quadrangle, Ciales quadrangle, Puerto Rico (Monroe, 1962).
