Type section: Womack sand and gravel pit near municipality of Acredale, Virginia Beach, VA, Kempsville 7.5-min quadrangle, Lat. 36 deg. 47 min. 30 sec. N., Long. 76 deg. 10 min. 13 sec. W., 0.5 mi southeast of intersection of Indian River and Kempsville Roads (Spencer and Campbell, 1987).
